Millton Vineyards & Winery has three distinct brands including: Clos de Ste. Anne, The Millton Vineyard and Crazy by Nature.
The Clos de Ste. Anne wines are crafted from small volumes of ultra-premium Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Viognier and Syrah grapes grown on the steep hillside slopes of the ‘grand cru’ Domaine Clos de Ste. Anne.
Further down the hillside on the valley floor are ‘premier cru’ plantings of Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay, Riesling and Gewurztraminer, all of which go into the The Millton Vineyard wines.
Millton’s “village” wine label, Crazy by Nature, celebrates the fun side of going against conventional production so many years ago and offers a Shotberry Chardonnay, Dry Flint Chenin Blanc and an award winning red blend of Malbec, Syrah and Viognier aptly named Cosmo Red.
All wines are grown biodynamically, harvested by hand, produced and bottled on the property. This involves growing the grapes without the use of herbicide, insecticide, systemic fungicides or soluble fertilisers. It also incorporates the use of special herbal preparations and teas as well as a deep understanding of the complex cosmic rhythms which affect these daily activities. In the cellar the use of synthetic agents is forbidden and the use of animal products, cultured yeasts and introduced bacteria is minimised.
